Certainly the companies that have taken the chance to become registrars
have a chance of doing okay.  I seriously doubt that many (or even any)
companies will pay such an extravagent fee.  Please also remember that
pre-registration may offer an initial input of cash to some of the
companies.  There have been numerous discussions of how much cash flow the
domain name registration process is likely to see and the reality is that
the registrars that survive the first year will likely see a reasonable
cash flow but nothin outragious.  Most speculation is that registration
fees will drop substantially from their current levels of $50 to maybe $20
or $25.

There may be a few millionairres made out of this process but there will
probably be a lot more who go out of business.
