I cannot see how having 86 registrars makes the possibility of getting a
name any less likely than having one.  Doesn't compute.

The public will be very well served by not being subject to the whimsical
business practices of just one registrar.  You can choose the one you like
to work with.

Registrars are not allowed to register names for themselves and then resell
them.  I can tell you that, to date at least, CORE takes this very seriously.

How do you figure?
