A Clear Future

Worse happens if a bad solution is
hoisted on people leading to some
 bloody useless insurrection! IAHC
 and CORE are knee-jerk responses
by a handful of people who were
 surpassed in claiming Top Domain
Name space by more clever or more
 insightful others. Their "Memorandum
of Understanding" is an attempt to
get back at their competitors and
 monopolize the Domain Name Registry
 business once and for all.

It's too late. The horses have all
fled. .WEB is Ambler's. .ART belongs
to SKYnic, .COM, .ORG, .NET belong to
Internic. That is fact and .PER, .XXX,
.SEX, .FCN, .WTV, .ZOO, .888, .800,
 .ETC all have legitimate claimants.
And these groups are ready, willing
and able to forge new domain registries
 in service of the public.

The state of reality is in profound
contrast only to the views of those
 shoving IAHC/CORE down our collective
throats. Once you step back, accept
 the precedent, however flawed, of
 "first come first served" everything
resolves, calms down and assumes a
clear path extending towards a peaceable
future. Thousands of NICs each with
their own stable of TLDs serving people
each to the best of their abilities
in their own way. Ta-da! Solution
found! And it wad there all along!
