The crisis to which you refer is the proverbial line in the sand:
It is the moment that the IANA requests NSI to add the seven new
IAHC gTLDs.

Dave,

For many months, IAHC supporters have been making statements like:

You have just admitted in a private posting (forgive me, *NOT* 
private ;-) that the U.S. Government and Network Solutions have 
the ability to prevent your seven new gTLDs from being entered 
in the root.  

What your "having a hard time understanding" is that your prior 
comments and arrogant attitude towards anyone who questioned 
those comments were in fact outrageous.  I suspect that the new 
CORE registries will be very upset about what appears to be 
misleading comments about the likelihood of this occurrence.  

But then again, maybe that's why they had to sign away any
rights to recourse before sending in their $10,000.
