I do think that, if it hasn't been a practice until now, you ought to
institute the taking of minutes at your meetings. Quite apart from the fact
that it can actually make things easier for you, you might just be making
history here.

That being the case, posterity would love to be privy to your deliberations.
If you're concerned about encroachment on your freedom of frank expression
(your ability to float silly ideas or to get stuck into someone when they're
not around, etc) that's what corridors are for.
