 Respectfully: As one who witnessed
the change from researcher's toy to
mass media it is the sixty plus
 million citizens of all nations
who made and make the Internet what
it is. At the moment what I see is
 Tradmark obsessed Corporations quite
 clearly inhibiting and interfering
 with OUR communications. The interests
of these organizations must always be
 secondary to the general good.

We require thousands of Top Level
Domain Name Registries now. To cut
 the windfall profits and monopolisitc
abuses being taken by Internic. To
give us all many choices. To disperse
the benifits being acrued. To serve
the 500 million or more people about
to go on-line around the world. My
 opinions, of course. But opinions
that appear to be on the ascent in
 support and public awareness.
