on their Government-sponsered monopoly while we all argue amongst ourselves

I just bought 200 shares of Network Solutions. I believe they are behind a
heafty lobbying effort that is going to convolute the name-space into the
next millenium. They are going to make hundreds of millions while proposals
and counter-proposals fly through cyberspace.

It's really, really sad.
