Oh, it's Friday night on a holiday weekend, so I guess I will play. ;-)

I don't know that the domain name system is the right place to defend
everyone's rights. And while the gTLD MOU has its serious flaws, I
really don't know of any practical alternative that is superior to it.
What we are going to get, I fear, is something distinctly inferior:
a new IANA dominated by the telcos and trademark interests, and Network
Solutions Inc (also known as the InterNIC) running most of the domain
name system as a monopoly.

Do we want a government for the Internet?

Uhm, why?

Won't the Internet community just take care of itself?
