Perhaps. If so than he should have simply stated that. In that he did not,
I doubt that he meant it figuratively.

Good idea. But how does one define "efficiency in posting"?
Your definition of such an idea may be different form some on
any mailing list.
The other problem that has already occurred too many times is that
when brief posts are used, you get complaints from others that you are not
being specific enough or your point is not well developed. Dave Crocker
and Perry M were particularly guilty of this on the IAHC and gTLD-discuss
mailing list mor times than I can count.
