Yes, but are the agreements that they serve safe? Not according to the Food
and drug
administration here in the US, for instance (Refrence to NAFTA). Also not some
international banks such as Barrings for instance (Refrence to recent fraud
problems
not covered within the GATT agreement).
So to say that international law or the law of another country is "Safe" is a
VERY relitive term, is it not? The two instances to which I refrenced in
passing
have already cost consumers around the globe Billions of $$, yen. Marks, Francs,
Croner, ect.
So therefore to say that the internationalization of the Internet or DNS or
the
IP address space in terms of a corporate entity does not in and of itself
protect
in one jurisdiction or another's, adaquately to the MAJORITY of the stakeholders
or the Internet community as a whole. Look at your own countries financial
crisus currently and you can see that it reprocussions are felt greately all
over
the globe in one form or another. Yet many of the companies withing your
own country were the industry financial leaders a short 10 yesrs ago. Hence
it is our contention that protection under both US law and International law
is indeed an added protection that should be considered viable an based on a
good
trust model.
