B. GENERAL QUESTIONS =

1. Review of IAHC-Suggested gTLDs =

How would you rate each of the following gTLD names selected by the IAHC?=
=

Considering above, would you still prefer to have legal term gTLDs?

If so, which ones (in order of preference)? ____.inc .ltd =

b) .store (for businesses offering goods to purchase), check one of the
below: =

[strongly approve __] [approve __] [no opinion __] [disapprove __]
[strongly disapprove _X_] =

If you disapprove or strongly disapprove, what gTLD would you suggest in
place of =

=2Estore in this category? ___.buy .get .shop___ =

Special note: There have been many suggestions that .store be replaced by=

=2Eshop =

which has significance in multiple languages and, unlike .store, has
related =

verb and noun meanings. Do you think .store should be replaced by .shop? =

[yes_X_] [no__] =

c) .web (for entities emphasizing activities related to the World Wide
Web), =

check one of the below: =

[strongly approve _X_] [approve __] [no opinion __] [disapprove __]
[strongly disapprove __] =

If you disapprove or strongly disapprove, what gTLD would you suggest in

g) .nom (for those wishing individual or personal nomenclature, i.e., a
personal =

nom de plume), check one of the below: =

[strongly approve __] [approve __] [no opinion __] [disapprove __]
[strongly disapprove _X_] =

If you disapprove or strongly disapprove, what gTLD would you suggest in
place of =

=2Enom in this category? __. home .self .site .mine .myself .person_ =

Special note 1: Since this gTLD is for individuals and registrations coul=
d
number =

in the millions, if not hundreds of millions, there is naturally concern
about the =

scaleability of a personal name space gTLD. There have been suggestions
that in order =

to improve the scaleability of the .nom name space, a numerical identifie=
r
should be =

added to the .nom gTLD from the outset (e.g, .nom1, .nom2, .nom3, etc.) D=
o
you agree? =

[yes__] [no_X_] =

=

2. Creation of gTLD Indicating Adult-Oriented Content =

There is often the suggestion made that a dedicated gTLD indicating the
equivalent =

to a "red-light-zone" would be useful in isolating and filtering
adult-oriented =

content from minors on the Internet. There are differing opinions on how
effective =

this would be. The most common suggestion is the request to create a gTLD=

=2Exxx. Do =

you think that a sort of "red-light-zone" gTLD should be created? =

[strongly approve __] [approve _X_] [no opinion __] [disapprove __]
[strongly disapprove __] =

If you strongly approve or approve, do you think this should be the gTLD
=2Exxx? =

[yes_X_] [no__]. =

If you have replied "no", what gTLD would you suggest in place of .xxx in=

this =

category? __.adult____ =

3. Other Suggestions =

Please make any other suggestion concerning the names of the new gTLDs no=
t
covered =

above. =

______The gTLD's must be marketable, and pronounceable. Otherwise, the e=
nd
user will opt to not use the appropriate gTLD in favor of one that is mor=
e
universally 'cool'. (Much like the .com TLD is overused today) I imagin=
e
that given the seven current choices, the .web tld will become the new
'.com' and take all the business away from .store, and .nom (notably the
two potentially largest gTLD's)

If the potentially large gTLD's for stores and personal (.store and .nom)=

are not changed to more pleasing words, the large audiences intended for
them will flood the other domains (.com, .web, info).

The .store and .nom gTLD's are much to dry and I couldn't imagine hearing=

them in a commercial. They are unapealling and would take away from my
potential customer's (audience's) view of my establishment (site) Use of=

verb's and comfortable nouns is a much better choice (.shop, .buy, .home,=

myself )

For the potentially large demand gTLD's, multiple variations is a good
Idea. But the numbering system isn't (nom1, nom2, etc.) They are too ea=
sy
to confuse, instead offer different gTLD's for the same purpose. For
personal, allow .nom, myself, and .person. For retail allow .shop, .buy =
,
=2Eused, new, etc. The end user will pick the one that best matches the=
ir
domain name, business and language. =
