Dear CORE Members:
I attended the WIPO consultations yesterday. I don't have time for a full
report.
Let me say that there was much good, positive input to WIPO which should
work toward their ability to get the ACPs up and running.
Most of the time was directed toward the need for "Directory Services" and
to cybersquatters, especially to those with deceptive entries in the NSI
contact data.
These complaints came from Stanford University, Porsche Cars North America
and INTEL.
Many of the cybersquatters are using the domains for hard core porn. The
gal from INTEL complained particularly about the following misspelled entry:
http://intle.com/
All for now.
Regards,
BobC
